On the ground in Hallandale Beach
Who has to clean the garbage carts and dumpsters in Hallandale Beach — the city or the building?
Hallandale Beach runs its own garbage collection. The city's Public Works sanitation division picks up from houses, small apartment buildings and condo towers alike, so there is no private hauler to ask about a dirty container. But the truck only empties. The city code tells whoever keeps a garbage receptacle to keep it sanitary and to clean and deodorize it weekly, and for buildings that store their containers indoors it makes the owner responsible for having them cleaned after collection. Emptying and washing are two different jobs here, and the second one belongs to the property.
For houses and buildings of up to four units, the city divides itself into four sections, each with its own weekly collection day. Carts are not meant to go out before the evening before pickup and have to be back off the street by that night, so the window between the truck and the cart going back to the side yard is the window we work in. Since the city suspended recycling collection on October 1, 2025, more drink containers and food packaging end up in the garbage cart, and with them the sugar residue that draws ants and roaches.
East of the Intracoastal the picture changes completely. The towers along South Ocean Drive and A1A send their waste down chutes into ground-floor trash rooms, and the mid-rises off Hallandale Beach Boulevard keep front-load dumpsters inside block enclosures that the city expects to be kept closed, painted and tidy. Those are commercial jobs, scheduled outside resident hours and billed to the association.

Hallandale Beach questions
Asked and answered
Do you clean condo trash rooms and dumpsters in Hallandale Beach?
Yes. We clean the carts, the chute opening area and the trash room itself, plus front-load dumpsters and the enclosures they sit in, after collection and outside resident hours. Pricing starts at $99 for a single container; request a quote through the commercial quote form on our website.
The city picks up my garbage. Doesn't it clean the cart too?
No. The city's sanitation trucks empty carts and dumpsters; washing them is left to whoever keeps them. That is the gap we fill — we clean your cart at the curb on your collection day, after the truck has emptied it.
Do you serve the single-family streets in Golden Isles?
We do, along with the houses west of US-1 and in Northwest Hallandale. If your cart is kept behind a gate or in a garage, put a note on the booking form so the crew knows where to find it.
