Trash bin cleaning in Tamarac
Tamarac has a large share of active-adult communities where hauling a cart around for a scrub is nobody's idea of a good afternoon. We do it at the curb, with nobody needing to be home.
On the ground in Tamarac
Why can't most Tamarac residents clean a full-size cart themselves?
Tamarac's housing is defined by its large 55-and-over communities — Kings Point, the Mainlands, and the villages built around them — alongside conventional single-family neighborhoods like Woodlands and Sunflower/Heathgate. In the active-adult communities, carts are often shared between several units or arranged in banks, and physically wrestling a full-size cart into position for cleaning is not something most residents can or should be doing.
That makes curbside service the practical model here. The cart goes out for collection as normal, we clean it the following day where it stands, and it goes back with nothing required from the resident. For association-managed cart banks we service the whole bank at once.
Tamarac also sits on flat, low ground with an extensive canal network running through it, and summer storm water sits where it falls. Carts left on grass or a low apron collect water in the base, and a lidded cart holding warm water for a week becomes a mosquito site. Draining and washing the interior is what breaks that, and the wastewater goes into our tank rather than into a canal that is fifty feet away.

Tamarac questions
Asked and answered
I can't move a heavy cart around. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Put it out for your normal collection and leave it at the curb — we clean it where it stands. You do not need to move it, be home, or do anything else.
Do you service 55-and-over community cart banks?
Yes, and it is usually cheaper per cart than individual service. Associations in Tamarac generally put the whole bank on one recurring schedule. Call 954-594-1666 for a site visit.
Does cleaning help with mosquitoes?
It removes one of the breeding sites. Standing water in the base of a lidded cart is warm, sheltered and undisturbed — close to ideal. We drain it, wash the interior and treat it.
